The Arunachal Pradesh Khadi & Village Industries Board is a statutory body of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh established to promote Khadi and Village Industries across the state. The Board works towards creating sustainable livelihood opportunities, strengthening traditional industries, empowering artisans, and fostering rural entrepreneurship.

About the Organisation

Overview

The Arunachal Pradesh Khadi & Village Industries Board was established under Act No. 5 of 1989 with the objective of planning, promoting, and implementing the development of Khadi and Village Industries at the state level. The Board focuses on employment generation, self-reliance, local resource utilisation, and financial assistance for rural artisans and institutions.

Eligibility: Rural youth aged 18-45, BPL families priority

Benefits: Financial assistance up to ₹25 Lakhs, training, marketing support

Artisan Development Assistance

Skill upgradation and financial support for traditional artisans to improve product quality and market reach.

Eligibility: Registered artisans, existing Khadi workers

Benefits: Skill training, tool kits, monthly stipend during training
